I’m clearly not good at this blogging, or at least, I’m not consistent. I have plans, big plans, too many plans as well as too many ideas, interests, hobbies, books… But let’s try again and write a new post about… a Lord of the Ring inspired socks? Ehm… nope, sorry, this is not even about socks really.

Let’s go back to the very beginning of an early October weekend: it was Friday, it was rainy (possibly, it’s Ireland after all), and I decided to take an evening free from everything and put on my Harry Potter DVDs, made myself comfortable on the couch under the duvet, and… it lasted about 10 minutes when I needed to get up and find something to keep my hands busy. So, I took out the big box of yarns and decided I would sort them while watching the telly. And here it comes the One Sock, with two or three fingerless gloves of different makes, at least one attempted amigurumi (looks like a poor deflated little owl). I also found two tiny crocheted shoes that I decided to transform in roller skates for a baby shower I had the following day. (Proof of completion below!)

That box looks like the lab of Dr. Frankenyarn, and the poor lonely sock made me think (again) why I never manage to keep up (almost) anything? I say almost because there are a few things I’m still doing: I’ve been playing roller derby and running consistently for 3-4 years now and I’ve been doing aerial for about a year. Not too bad, eh? I’ve also have been eating, drinking, showering every day for over 30 years!

But anything else? As complete disaster!

I even have a page in my bullet journal called “Things I was obsessed once upon a time”, and you know what? It even contains bullet journal. That says a lot.

So I must be honest to myself and the world and confess it: I am a serial unfinisher. There are so many beautiful things, so many inspirations (damn you Pinterest and Instagram), and so much material everywhere! What a crafty woman should do??!!

Buying a DSLR camera of course.

So, the challenge for November is to figure out what all those buttons do and take stunning pictures outdoors, while writing 60k words for NaNoWriMo, studying for exams, crafting Xmas gifts, making zero waste products, reorganizing my flat, working, and doing all the adult things… I mean paying bills, house chores and the like. What did you think I meant?

Ok, enough being silly! Time to go and make a plan to make all these things happen! Or maybe just watch Stranger Things while making a desk organizer with all the Fairy Loot boxes I’ve been accumulating. I promise, I will write a post!
