Knitfluenced – Stego Sweater. Ep. 7

TinaStrange Avatar

I had started writing this post in January this year. Tried again in September, and here we are almost December. Next time I blink, it’ll be Christmas… so let’s make it quick.

Quick info

  • Cost of material: TBC
  • Yarn: Hobbii Kind Feather (Hunter Green and Light Grey)
  • Started: 5 July 5 2024

How I made it

I mixed and matched sizes: I started smaller with the collar, but then I had to increase for the bust and arms, so I had to do some maths, but it ended up working out.

How I wear it

I don’t, because it was a present, but I heard the recipient loved it 🥰

Will I do it again?

Not sure. Nothing to do with the pattern that was clearly written, but I think I’m over top down in the round with colorwork yokes, tons of stockinette and two sleeves sweaters.

I enjoy doing the colorwork, and the short rows, decreases, increases, all that shaping, but as soon as we hit the stockinette part I really lose motivation. Let’s not talk about the second sleeve.

I like how the sweater grows and how you can try it on as you go along, but I want to try new techniques, even flat and sewing together, that’s how I learned to make jumpers from my mamma and nonna.
