A few days ago, I went back in time, today let’s step forward and look into all the new crafts I’ve been eying but I refrained to dive into as my favourite hobby is often buying supplies rather then using them.
Tunisian (Afgan) Crochet
A summer discovery during the first trip back home after the whole apocalypse finally eased and international travel was again possible. A friend of my mom was making a top with this technique, so it piqued my interest, and a couple of times I almost ordered a needle or two.

Blackwork Embroidery
During lockdown, I picked up cross stitch again, and I joined several Facebook groups for less traditional embroidery and cross stitch, and I bumped into a SAL (Stitch Along) for blackwork embroidery, and for this, I don’t even need to buy new supplies as Aida and threads I have aplenty. This type of embroidery was brought in England by Catherine of Aragon, first wife of Henry VII, and it is appealing to me because of the geometric patterns and black thread.

Macramé
This is not a new new craft, as I already tried my hand with a little kit I got from Aldi, and I made a plant hanger, but I want to step up my game and make a hanging cat bed. Not a difficult craft to learn, there are some basic knots, and they can be mastered quickly.
