Finishing Touches

Something I might have hinted here and there is that I have the attention span of a goldfish and I’d gladly buzz from a project to another like a little busy bee. I’m great at starting new things, finishing is a whole other matter…

The ongoing apocalypse and the finally college-free life has given me a lot more time to… finish projects? Naaah…. To start even more! I’ve currently four projects ongoing, but being four different crafts, it’s more multi-crafting, right?

So what am I up to?

  • Knitting: sweater-scarf. Inspired by an Instagram ad for a wraparound scarf that looked super cosy. Since I like to do thing by myself if I can, I went and look for a pattern for something similar, and found the Rust Sweater Scarf by CamexiaDesigns.
  • Cross-stich: this has been my lockdown craft obsession, so much so that I finished not 1, not 2, but 3 pieces! Actually 4… I forgot I made one for a friend. I have now 2 WIPs, one full coverage and a small one for a friend. I got almost all my patterns so far from TheCrossStitchSalon, I’m absolutely obsessed as they are the right amount of nerdy and super easy to read even for someone who hadn’t cross-stitched for about 3 decades.
  • Sewing: two of the most comfortable panties ever, Clover Boybriefs from House Morrighan. This is actually done now, but it took about month to finish them both in a funky fabric I found in the remnants basket a while ago. Not maybe my style, but who’s gonna see them? Apart from you in that picture below.

Off to Sunday morning yoga now!
