No Spring Skips its Turn…

… unless you live in Ireland. Then spring will skip its turn until there’s a pandemic. Saturday was hot!  Like beer and book in the garden hot! And it was even a long weekend in Ireland: Monday Bank Holidays are the best invention ever. But now, the postponed Sunday’s blues are here.

Anyhow…

I finally finished “March” in my blanket:

March Temperature Blanket

Pretty proud! I haven’t dumped it yet for another project, although I have been very tempted by trying my hand at cross-stitching again on some Harry Potter pattern I saw on Etsy. But, I’ve been well-behaved and haven’t ordered any (yet).

To be honest, there was another tiny project, but it was very quick and I was soon back to my blanket. I have jumped on the face mask band wagon and made one for my next groceries shopping expedition.

Face Mask

They have been an hot topic in many Facebook craft/sewing groups I am. So controversial some groups had to ban posts about it to avoid things getting ugly… I kid you not! Now, they have been finally validated as “a better protection than nothing”…

There are several tutorials and videos on Google, but this is the one I followed: it was very very quick! The fabric is a piece of leftover PUL from a wet bag I made a while a go for a reusable pads set and, being the fabric a little stretchy, the bands are strips of the same fabric.

Now, back to my blanket and Netflix!
