As every year, January is a sluggish month.
Struggling to focus at work, going through brain fart to the other, such as closing my laptop, so putting it to sleep, while checking whether the headset was plugged in, and leaving my colleague thinking I had hung up on them.
Out of work hours, I’m not being any more energetic. The new college term hasn’t started yet -phew!-, so I’m enjoying a bit of Netflix and videogames. And second week of January over and still no new crafty project in the pipeline!
I have, however, started a photography course, two lessons in the bag and some very… ehm… warm self-portraits delivered as homework. Honestly, they were awful. But I’m there to learn, right? Right?
In the second lesson, we learned about composition, which is something I enjoy to do even with my phone, and what pushed me to get a proper camera. I’m looking forward to next assignment: landscapes and the rule of thirds. A walk to Sandymount Beach is in order, hopefully the wind blowing outside will calm down at the weekend, as I need a flat horizon.
Landscapes are definitely my favorite subject, much more than myself. I’ll post the results, but in the meanwhile, enjoy (or more likely not) a picture of me playing model.
