Pushing myself to write a post about Christmas yesterday, forgetting about what I wanted to write, remembering the benefits of a streak of daily posts in my other blog, the Polar Express of thoughts led me to this new experiment.

Why Twelve Days?

In the last few years, I have noticed a plethora of Twelve Days (or Twelve Pubs) of Christmas popping around and always wondered why 12? It didn’t make much sense to me: as a kid I used to get an advent calendar from the 1st to the 25th of December, but 12? From the 13th of December? What happened on that day?

Mystery solved: from the 25th December, the birth of baby Jesus, to the 6th of January, the arrival of the Three Kings.

But why Twelve posts?

It’s exactly twelve days from yesterday to the last day of the year. Perfect!

I’m not exactly sure what I will write about in each post, being something I pulled out of my head yesterday I didn’t do a lot of planning, so let’s see what my overthinking brain will come up with.
