…some peace of mind.
2019 was a mad mad year.
I had a lot of plans and projects, I ended up travelling around the globe instead. It was cool, but exhausting and fell behind on pretty much anything that wasn’t work.
My Make 9 Challenge was only a Make 3 Maybe 4 Challenge, and it’s time to plan for the new year, so in a year time I will be here again tallying my unfinished/unstarted projects. I never give up even if the odds are all against me since travelling will start very soon in January again.
Anyhow, in 2020 year I want to:
- Sew more bralettes and panties.
- Sew a Raglan Dress by Runi: definitely one as I’ve some Ponte di Roma fabric ready to go, but maybe more.
- Sew a bag for a friend and a duffel bag for the gym for me.
- Crochet a baby frog hat and maybe some tiny shoes.
- Learn shuttle tatting properly and figure out what I can do with it.
- Knit some chunky socks to wear with my new winter boots.
And in 2020 I also want to:
- Stop worrying about saying no to people.
- Remember to take myself out for dinner/coffee&cake more often.
- Doing at least one sun salutation every day.
- Wear a little make-up once or twice a week.
I’m not into New Year’s Resolutions, but this past year was pretty challenging for my mental health, so the plan is to ensure I keep a ‘lil bit of structure so I don’t burn out as 2020 looks promising and busy (an house, a cat, more trips on the horizon…).
And I want to sew and wear more of my creations: spending this 1st day of the new decade holed in my house sewing a dress to go back to work and look gorgeous. Here’s a little preview of the fabric.

Now back to sewing while watching the Mandalorian.
Happy New Year, folks!
